About the Author
Initially my driving question was The Impact of PrBL in a Middle School Mathematics Classroom. But I think over time my DQ has morphed into something shorter, more concise: Does the data support PrBL in a Middle School Math class? While my data was inconclusive, the current literature overwhelmingly supports PrBL as a learning tool to meet the needs of 21st C learners. Which means that my focus group has changed. While I will always focus on the learning of my students first, truly my research paper and my website will be geared for educators. Why? Because students are not concerned about what is considered best practice , or new engagement strategies. Students care about what they are learning and what their end product is supposed to be. In terms of my cohort, this is an incredibly supportive group of educators. I look forward to the weekly constructive criticism I receive, so that I can better my understanding of the work we are doing. I hope, that I am able to give the same feedback to my team. I think that we are open with each other and give honest feedback when it is needed. I look forward to the help I know I will get on my capstone/website.

I think making your driving question more concise is always a better idea! After viewing all of the capstone examples, I have concluded that those most effective are those most easily understood by the audience, thereby the ones that are concise and to the point. The ones I was drawn to did not stray from their very specific goal and never broke the boundaries set up by the driving question. Writing in a concise and to the point matter is not my strength, and therefore I am also looking forward to receiving feedback that will help me improve how effective my capstone is for the audience. I am so glad that we all have one another because we are a group of encouragingly honest educators who want each other's products to be the best they can!

You make a good point in the DQ, by making it more concise and straight to the point. I may have to take a look at mines again. I agree with Amanda by making it make sense to the audience and easily understood, they will comprehend the data and information. The support from the cohort has been amazing. The positive feedback and criticism have definitely help me in my field of professional. I also appreciate how we are open and honest with each other to make our capstone better after each class meeting.
